Unfortunately our phone lines are not working. We are also unable to pick up any messages that are left on the answer machines. The problem is being looked into.
Today we celebrated the upcoming Royal Wedding by having a red, white and blue day, and a street party style lunch. The children thoroughly enjoyed it. We wish Harry and Meghan all the best for a wonderful wedding day tomorrow.
On Friday 18th May Westfield Primary will be holding a ‘Red, White and Blue’ themed day to celebrate the Royal Wedding which is taking place the following day.
To mark the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle we are asking the children to dress up in red, white and/or blue clothing – they can wear one, two or all three of the colours! They may even like to incorporate the colours into a royal fancy dress outfit!
We will also be having a street party lunch – we will be moving the tables outside (weather permitting!), decorating the area and having a fun time! Please put Friday 18th May in your diaries as a dress up day in school!
A reminder that with the hot weather coming please remember to put suncream on your children before sending them into school. If you wish to send a sun hat this will be fine, but please make sure it is named.
Have a lovely Easter break. School resumes on Tuesday April 17th.
Please drive and travel safely.
We have a yellow snow warning ⚠️ in place tonight. We aim to open tomorrow, with a relaxed entry and registers closing at 10am to enable people to arrive safely. Please do not drive down Bonsey Lane for the safety of all our children.
However, if conditions deteriorate over night we may need to re-evaluate the situation. We will update you in the morning should we need to. As always, the safety of all our community is at the forefront of any decisions we make.
Our ducklings eggs arrived on Monday, and they are now hatching. More pictures will follow.
Years 1 and 2 had the opportunity to meet a dinosaur at their workshop, please see the pictures.
